DAVE CHEYNE: Managing Director, Place of CHI, New Zealand

A passion for the outdoors, physical training and helping those around him meant that a career in the health, wellness and fitness industry was a natural choice for Dave.

After studying for a Bachelor of Physical Education of Otago University, Dave went on to study through the C.H.E.K Institute. There he achieved the qualifications of C.H.E.K (Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology) Practitioner Level 1 and Holistic Lifestyle Coach Level 2. The holistic approach taken by the C.H.E.K Institute fits closely with Dave’s worldview, personal values and views on life.

Dave has been working in the fitness industry for over a decade, both in New Zealand and overseas. His roles have included Personal Training facilitator/educator of personal trainers and various management positions.

DAve has also been a top athlete himself, having competed in regional and national bodybuilding competitions, regional rugby representative and numerous multi-sport and triathlon events.

After traveling the world, Dave returned to his home town in Invercargill in 2006 to start MBS Holistic Training. MBS Holistic Training is in the business of helping people become and stay fit, happy, healthy, wealthy and smiling. MBS Holistic training achieves this through a friendly education based awareness of peoples own health and wellness.

Dave’s dream for MBS Holistic Training is for MBS Holistic Training to become the home of conscious evolution in New Zealand. A healing centre where people come to heal their mind, body and soul and re-connect with the “one”.

Dave is passionate about helping his clients achieve their health and wellness goals, and finds it incredibly rewarding to see the benefits they get from make conscious healthy lifestyle choices. Dave strongly believes that health and wellness should be fun and this is reflected in his modalities.

In 2012 Dave was asked to become the New Zealand face of Place of CHI (NZ) to work with Donal & Cathy Carr to ensure that those within New Zealand (and Australia) who want access to the best education, information and skill sets in both the fitness industry and health and wellness industry can access the C.H.E.K Institute and to make sure that those C.H.E.K Practitioners and HLC (Holistic lifestyle Coaching) that already exist are well supported in their endeavours to grow and be of service to their clientele.

    Hi Dave

I met you at the HLC level 1 course in Auckland last year. Just wondered if I can get a couple of copies of the ‘Four Doctors’ book. I really want to share them with some important people in my life and prefer hard copy for this.

    Hope you can help
    Sandy
